Please note that only our Pamela Crawford Basic Basket Planters will attach to this column.

Convert Your Large Pots into a stunning 2-level display on your patio, poolside, porch or deck.

Basic Basket Column Kit includes:
12" Base Ring
2 different bolts (for you to select according to the thickness of the base of your large pot)
Spacer washer
4 ft tall column, composed of 1 x 3 ft column and 1 x 1ft extension (column is made of black 2" tubular steel)
9" disk with gripping clips

Here's how it works:

12" Steel Base Ring goes under your Large Pot. Tighten threaded bolt through center to poke up through the pot's center drainage hole. Put pot on Ring. Place spacer washer on bolt. This allows free drainage through center hole. Screw the black steel columns snugly onto bolt and spacer washer, so the base ring, pot and column are locked securely together. Lastly, attach 9" Disk with gripping clips to hold a Pamela Crawford side planting basket (sold separately).
Additional 1 ft and 2 ft extensions available.

Don't forget to order a Pamela Crawford Basic Basket Planter for your Column Kit!

Please note, it is not advised to use the optional 12-inch or 24-inch column extensions with the 20-inch diameter size baskets.  The additional height can cause the column to become too top heavy. The included 12" extension is fine to use as long as your base pot is large/ heavy enough to support the additional height.

Our new Pamela Crawford column planter

Posted by Kathleen Sauber on Aug 3rd 2026

It was on backorder and though I ordered it in April, it arrived on July 10th. I had a Garden Walk here on July 29th and the planter filled in beautifully! A shocker! I do love it but the top basket is tippy and I'm constantly trying to straighten it out. I'm hoping that my husband made a mistake in assembling it. I 've wanted one for years and happyto have it. Hopefully, the unlevel problem will be corrected next season.

I love the quality of the columns. Easy to assemble, however I discovered I don’t have center hole in my large pots but it still fits securely into the base of the pot. They will give me many years of blooming!

    Basket Column for large pot

Posted by Raymond Zander on Apr 27th 2026

Looks to be a great product. It is pricey, but seems perfectly engineered as a very solid base to plant in. Securing it to a footed base under the pot is a very wise choice to keep the structure from falling over. Pamela Crawford obviously has put a lot of thought into her products.

Sent as a gift to my daughter. She expressed a desire for one when looking thru a Kinsmangarden catalog at my house. I know that she'll love it & I plan to get one for myself next year.

I absolutely love my column and planters. I got so many compliments and neighbors asked me about where I bought the planter.

    Very Sturdy

Posted by Phyllis Giberson on Apr 11th 2024

I have looked at this planter before but finally decided to get one. It is very well constructed and sturdy which it needs to be for all the plants needed. Now I'm trying to figure out where I could use others or even the posts.
