    Side planter liner tip

Posted by Marilyn Daniels on May 21st 2016

I've had the side planters for several years and love them! The first year was challenging because they dry out so fast but I found the solution. I spray the outside of my liners with Rust-Oleum Leak Seal in black. Several positives I've found from using this product. It waterproofs, the coating seals the fibers so birds no longer pick them apart for nest construction, the overall appearance looks even better by matching the wire baskets, it increases the life of the liner to more than one season and our flowers are the envy of the neighborhood! I also use a large black garbage bag to line the inside. It's very easy to cut drainage slit in the bottom and the holes on the sides as well. With a little practice I learned to use the plastic on the inside can also decrease the space around the plant to help keep the dirt in! All of our plants have thrived using this method so I hope it might help others as well. Happy gardening!!!

    PLANT LINER

THE HOLES IN THE LINER ARE TO LARGE. THE DIRT COMES OUT WHEN YOU WATER THEM. I HAVE TO PUT FIBER OVER THE TOP OF THE HOLE TO KEEP THE SOIL IN UNTIL THEY GROW.

    Pretty Arrangements

Posted by NCJC on Mar 30th 2015

I have found this size to be too big and needs lots of flowers. Last year I did my flower planting late- beginning of June and was able to get a decent pot arrangement on sale to place in it along with some other seedlings. It is placed up next to a structure and the sun or light doesn't get behind it. It is heavy to rotate so I don't get a good growth on the back side. I would recommend the 14 planter and liner.

These liners are wonderful! Wish I didn't have to replace them every year, though!
