16" diameter x 11" deep holds eighteen side plants, twelve top edging plants and one 6" or gallon size centerpiece plant.
Basic Basket Planters are constructed from heavy gauge steel wire coated in black plastic and are supplied with removable clip-on chains.
The advantages of side planting are many. You get a lush, fully covered container much more quickly and an impressive floral display in weeks instead of months. But side planting used to require time consuming handwork, cutting holes in liners or juggling loose moss. Pamela Crawford's new side planting containers mean you can create spectacular plantings in a small fraction of the time it used to take.
The design of these baskets and liners give spectacular instant results. Ingenious holes and slits in the coco-fiber allow mature plants with 3" to 4 " root balls to be inserted.
Side planted hanging baskets look terrific from below as well as from the side. Hang them in groups of three or spaced singly along a porch. Or use our Border Column Kits designed just for these Basic Basket Planters.

Simply beautiful in my new garden!
This is the centerpiece in my new garden. It was very easy to use and the video suggestions were helpful to know how many plants I needed and what types to plant in the sides. It's now been 2 weeks and they are filling in nicely!

Eye catching
I love the planter but even more importantly my husband loves the planter!! He is not really into gardening but we put it up together using the post that can be purchased. He goes out regularly to admire our creation. We planted pansies, huchera, Swiss chard and small ornamental cabbages got the cool season. It will not be as glamorous as warm season annuals but it gives our flower bed some new texture and colors.

Happy
I have been wanting a Pamela Crawford column basket since they came out. I promised this was going to be the year,. InMarch I ordered my first one, it was way to early to plant it ,but I thought if I just looked at it for a while I would need to order at least one more before summer. Well its April and still to early to plant but I just ordered my second one, I hope I go for three before I'm done.
