I have been using these water slices for years. My wall baskets face west and these help keep them from drying out.

Best water retention
I tried these first in a wire hay feeder basket that sits on my porch that was forever drying out then dripping all over when I watered. I planted 3 weeks ago and haven't had to water yet. It is an amazing product and I'm ordering 2 more packs today.
