They're black and tough, but light and easy to carry. Made from 100% polyethylene, they're as hardwearing as a car tire. Unaffected by freezing cold or boiling water.

Great durable trugs!
I use these tough, multipurpose trugs every day in my garden and yard. They have the perfect firmness/flex for all kinds of materials, from water, gravel, and mulch to leaf litter. These are the same specs—from the same factory—as the famed “Fiel” trugs of yesteryear. I have had one in heavy use for 20 years. These are an outstanding investment fir the long term.

Must have for gardeners!
When I started out gardening we had tin tubs, 5 gallon buckets from hardware stores and tarps. All of those work just fine when gardening, but these tub trugs work better. If you’re moving large perennials these actually hold them easily, if your mixing up soil, dragging shrubs from one location to another, washing pots, cleaning gutters, end of season garden cleanup, trimming boxwood topiaries, washing muddy dog feet, heck washing my feet, all easily done and easily cleaned afterwards. I’ve given these as gifts to every gardener and family member and they all have found them useful, sturdy, long lasting and well worth the storage space.

This is the best trig! It is sturdy yet flexible and holds a ton of weeds or whatever I put in it. My husband keeps borrowing it so I need to get him one of his own!

I purchased two tugs and they will be fully employed to hold weeds, dirt, plants for replanting, ice for chilling drinks at parties, and more. They are sturdy and easy to lug using the handles. I highly recommend.
