Help prevent birds from flying into windows, doors and greenhouses which can cause injury or death. Translucent decals reflect ultraviolet light so they appear clear to humans but show like frosted glass to birds. Reusable self-adhering decals remove easily. Each pack contains four decals approximately 4" across. Leaf medley design.
- WindowAlert decals may be used only on an EXTERIOR
glass surface -- free of any overlay, tinting, film, or coating.
- Clean glass thoroughly. Make sure glass is free of chemicals and cleaners before applying decals.
- Decals are best applied when glass is warm (greater than 50 degrees Fahrenheit). If applied during winter months, clean glass with warm water prior to application.
- Peel decal from paper backing. The same side that was against the paper goes the against the glass.
- Place decals on the outside of the window. Concentrate decals at center then work out, placing decals at a minimum, on every 2 feet of glass. For maximum protection, scientific studies suggest placing decals 2 inches horizontal, by 4 inches vertical, from one another.
- UV coating will fade based on exposure and local elevation. For best results, replace decals every 4 months or test with the WindowAlert UV Flashlight.
- Position out of reach of infants and small children.
- Restore static cling by rinsing in lukewarm water.

They work
There were birds bonking their heads on our north-facing windows rather frequently; since we put up the window alerts, not a one. We can see them from the inside, but they're unobtrusive. And they're pretty.

These are lifesavers for birds
The decals arrived yesterday. They are exactly as advertised. My concerns are (1) that the directions on the package say to use Window Alert UV liquid between the decals, a direction that doesn't make sense to me; and (2) that the decals may be used only on exterior glass surfaces that are free of any overlay, tinting,, film, or coating. The windows on which I wanted to use the decals have UV coating. I will be able to use the decals elsewhere, but not where I most wanted them.

Window Decals
I was having a terrible time this summer with birds running into my windows and dying, because of it, I knew I had to do something. So far, the decals have worked and no fatalities so far.

very effective
I use these on the windows adjacent to my bird feeding area. We used to have many bird strikes, but these are quite effective. They do need to be applied much more closely than the directions recommend, however. I use two packages on each 39x 28 window.

I don't know if this will keep the birds from running into my windows, but I am having a hard time keeping them on the windows so I can find out. Have lost two of them already.I may end up having to use tape to keep the reflectors where I want them.***** Are you putting the decals on the inside or outside of the window? While the directions do indicate that they should be placed on the outside, we've had one on the inside at our office for many years. Not only has it successfully kept birds from flying into the window, it has never fallen off! *********

Leaf Medley Window Alert
Ordered the Leaf Medley Window Alert because we have a window facing west where several birds have flown into over the years, sometimes killing the bird. Since installation, no bird has flown into our window. Although placed on the exterior of the window, the alerts are weathering the hot sun and our spring rain. So far, so good!

Saves lives!
We no longer hear that heartbreaking thud since applying. Very unobtrusive. Apply in warm weather.
