Dramatic cone shape is excitingly different. It also provides a much deeper root run than ordinary baskets. We first saw baskets shaped like these at a pub in England, in a shady corner of an outdoor beer garden. Planted with hostas, they made a strong and pleasing architectural statement. These new baskets made from strong welded steel wire, coated in black plastic.

    The conical basket is not available locally. I purchased one from Kinsman and liked it well enough to buy another. I think the price is good considering the liner is included. We live in a pine forest of sorts and I use pine needles between the metal frame and the liner to add a rustic touch. I do use styrofoam peanuts in the bottom to reduce the amount of soil in the cone. They look great on the porch.

    Love, these baskets, both the 14 inch, and 12 inch. Sturdy and very attractive with the turned wood posts on our SW home. Now filled with silver dichondra and succulents. Have always been pleased with the baskets and planters purchased through Kinsman. Durable products...

    Although it is still too cold to be putting this conical basket out, I already see that it is of superb construction, and will be well suited for the plants I will be planting in it.

    Have been using products from Kinsman Company for over twenty years. They have no equal for quality and durability. I am still using hanging baskets that are twenty years old having only to purchase new liners. Worth every dollar spent.
