I am ordering my second hat, having purchased the first one about six years ago. The wide brim is the best I've found for protecting against Kansas' relentless sunshine, and the cord keeps it in place despite the ever-present wind. Highly recommend for challenging summer conditions.

For the price, just under $20 with shipping, the Nurseryman's hat is adequate. Well made of tightly woven straw, it is broad enough to keep the sun off one's head and neck., It runs large, order a size smaller than you think you'll need and know that the inside sweatband it unyielding and not especially absorbent, be prepared to press a bandana inside your hat.
