I have been trying to replace a fabulous Hori-Hori knife that I lost a few years ago, but this one doesn't quite do it. It is flimsier and the knife edge doesn't cut as well. Not a bad tool to have around, but certainly not the Hori-Hori knife of my dreams.

Don't buy this cheap knock off. Very disappointed. Made in Taiwan, not Japan. The real Japanese knife is on Amazon even cheaper!

I love this tool! I use it to plant, weed, even divide hosta as it gets too big as it has a serrated cutting edge. Truly my favorite!

This is the best weeding tool I have ever used. It's slightly concave, so it's sort of a hybrid between a sharp knife and a very narrow trowel. It's just the right width to loosen enough dirt so that you can easily pull the weed up. I weed for hours a week in the summer, and this is making my work more efficient, and thus saving wear and tear on my lower back.
