Comments:
The rain gauge itself seems sturdy enough, but the the stake part that would normally go into the ground is very flimsy. It seems like a heavy rabbit would snap it in two, never mind a woodchuck or large dog. Also, better instructions on removing the rain gauge from the packaging would be helpful.
Thank you for posting your review. The Rain Gauge does include a plastic stake to use for in-ground mounting which is adequate. We think that mounting the Rain Gauge to an inexpensive wooden stake from the hardware store will give you the best support.
