Fits my railings perfectly. I'm using small shims to create a tighter fit.

Great Service

Comments:

One of the brackets, had a heavier weld so that it would not quite adjust all the way. I sent an email about and they shipped me a new one the next day. Really great service. They stand behind their products

Didn't work for me

Comments:

I read the previous reviews about size issues but thought I would try to see if we could make them work for our deck but there wasn't enough overage for us to drill another hole in the bracket to fit a 6" deck rail. The brackets are good quality for the price but we had to return them.

Brackets won't fit

Posted By: Suzan Browning

Comments:

Our railings are 6 inches and these brackets will not fit over. Can they make a modification to the back half that is just L shaped and longer? I would be willing to pay for some sort of adapter.

Brackets Too Short!

Posted By: Robert Tainsh

Comments:

I purchased twelve (12) 44" Hayracks and 24 Brackets. THE BRACKETS ARE TOO SHORT!!! They need to be 1/2 inch longer to fit standard railings. Other reviewers agree but Kinsman is ignoring buyers' comments.

Not Big Enough

Posted By: Sara Haley

Location: Anchorage , AK United States

Comments:

Gary's review is spot on. My railing is 6" and these fall short. I am lucky to work around some handy guys and they drilled and threaded new holes for me. Next time these are manufactured, Kinsman please have them made to reach 6" for a standard railing! I would have just bought the hooks but I didn't want to drill into the railing. It was a win-win with some extra headache. They are well made and functional though for a no-drill option.

Hanging brackets - pros and cons

Posted By: Gary Incorvia

Location: Weaverville, NC United States

Comments:

First the pros. Well built, heavy duty hanging brackets for railing. The negative, the holes for the screws need to be at least 1/4 inch farther back to allow the bracket to fit over a standard 2x6. These we just a bit short. I made them work by placing a wood screw in the hole rather than the included screw. One more 1/4 inch would have done the job.

We have a very small rail on the back porch and we purchased the 2 foot Hayrack with brackets. It fit perfectly and I was please with the quality of both products. It will last a long time!!

I have 2 pamela crawford 44" planters, so I have 4 brackets. The are very rusty and unsightly.
