Welcome to Kinsman Garden Company!
1st Place Prize This basket column kit was given to me by my grandchildren. It is in the front of my garage. All of my neighbors comment how beautiful it is, and I thoroughly enjoy it every time I come home! Ann Marie Frieze – Westchester, IL 2nd Place Prize Plants used are coleus. begonia, trailing petunia, sweet potato vine and creeping jenny. Russell Leone – Gibraltar, MI 2nd Place Prize I placed Basket Column kits on either side of my garden bench where I can sit and enjoy their beauty and take in the heavenly scent! I planted "Wicked Witch" coleus as the centerpiece, then filled the basket with "Chocolate Drop" coleus, "Sweetheart Lime" ipomoea, the palest lavender and some bright pink wave petunias. The large pot contains vinca vine (pulled from my garden), "Raspberry Ripple" zinnias, and "Lovie Dovie" supertunias. I'm amazed at how easy it was to create an impressive display using these containers! Melissa Cantu – Lagrange, OH 2nd Place Prize Plants used are mandevilla on top, petunia and calibrachoa on the sides and petunia and yellow licorice on the bottom. I chose hardy petunia because they get a lot of sun next to windows, not much water under awnings. John Del Toro – New Hope, MN 3rd Place Prize I usually do red, white and blue but decided to mix it up. On the pole planter are: Lana Angel Wing begonias with Pink Passion wave petunias intercept with Euphorbia Stardust Superflash. On the bottom are Purple and Orchid Blush sun patiens with Lysimachia Goldilocks.
Marianne Gibson– Mount Clemens, MI 3rd Place Prize This was our first Pamela Crawford planter and we couldn't be more pleased with the ease of planting, the spectacular results and the many compliments we receive. We chose two varieties of coleus, mixed color sunpatiens and mixed color wax begonias. The centerpiece plant is red salvia. All total this took 38 plants and resulted in a display that is very dramatic! As a bonus, with the exception of watering, this was very low maintenance with only the coleus requiring periodic pinching back. We can't wait to plan next year's planter and hopefully add even more Pamela Crawford planters. Ted & Denise Decker– Delaware, OH 3rd Place Prize I have one basket hanging on each side of my garage door. They each contain a spike as the middle plant, plus mixed 'Wizard' Coleus, Chocolate Mint Coleus, Impatiens (red, salmon and white), and bacopa flowing out the bottom. All of these annuals I grew from seed in my greenhouse. Nancy Townsend – North Tonawanda, NY |
