"The wreath is located on the north side of our house. I use shade loving plants:
pansies, begonias, impatiens, coleus and lobelia. Every year it is a little different.
It was a little challenging this year, because of the heat. It goes swimming
a lot in the wreath pool!"

make these –and fun too!"

"My wreath hangs in front of
my townhouse, facing east. It contains traditional mixed coleus, not
today's hybrids. It's a bit of high maintenance to continually pinch
back the plants to keep a uniform shape. In addition, I periodically
rotate the wreath to keep it in balance, as the plants grow towards the
sun. At night, the wreath has a spotlight on it. This is the 8th or 9th
year using coleus and it's always a hit amongst neighbors and members
or the local garden club."

"I used Oregon moss and New
Zealand Sphagnum moss and added some potting soil in the wire frame.
The plants used are maidenhair ferns, ivy, polka dot plant, ajuga, picta
philodendron, fittonia and impatiens. The wreath is displayed on a roof
section from an old wooden silo, which we found on our former family
farm property"

"My living wreath contains
several varieties of succulents and sedums. I winter over the succulents
that are not hardy here by bringing them inside each year. In the Spring,
I cut all different kinds of ground cover sedum from my garden and root
them into the wreath with the succulents. I always hang the wreath on
the porch of my potting shed.".

"Would you please enter my
living wreath into your contest? It is planted with various succulents
and hens & chicks.
As you can see, I use it as a centerpiece on my deck table."
