Weeded out running grass in half the usual time with this tool. Sharp, thin , flat, lightweight with just the right length handle to leverage out the runners while standing. The flat surface of the blade slide right into the adobe soil and under the roots.

This spade is solidly build and does help me dig bulbs and divide perennial with precision due to the sharp point of the design and the substantial strength of the blade material. And it's charming design just makes me smile as I work. I've stained and oiled the bare wooden handle to protect and enhance it's appearance. I love this product and recommend it highly. Thanks

The ad for this is no exaggeration; it does a terrific job cleanly diving really tough clumps of perennials (which should have been taken care of years ago). Works far better than any other spade or shovel.
