I ordered two of the 44" window boxes. Rather than putting them in front of a window, I installed them on the top railing of our balcony...I did not "hang" them on the balcony railing. I used heavy duty zip ties to secure the frame to the top of the railing. Then inserted the coco fiber lining. Since this planter is on the top of the railing, the back side is also visible so I wish there had been some side holes on the back side also. I also lined the bottom with heavy duty trash bag so as to hold the water a little longer. It would be great if Pamela Crawford would now design yet another rectangle side planter with holes on both sides for the top of railings!

These window boxes are just what my four front windows needed. We are very happy with the look and can hardly wait to add plants.

The quality of the window boxes is even better than I expected and for half the price I was going to pay at my local nursery. I plan to order several more in the near future!

Living in Alaska, I order alot online. I have searched and searched for a good quality window box. I ordered this one and was extremely pleased with the quality! I will send a pic thus summer when I get it hung and the flowers in it planted. I know these 2 boxes will make my window the best in my neighborhood.
